CALCIUM NITRATE - A PRODUCT RESULTING FROM SULPHUR ORE PROCESSING WASTES UTILIZATION
Calcium
nitrate is produced in two forms:
- an efficient plant feeder ( 50% solution
;
- granulated organomineral fertilizer containing microelements.
Taking
into account the level of paying capacity of agricultural farms on the one hand
and limestone wastes accumulated in the process of long-term exploitation of sulphur
deposits at Rozdil and Yavoriv SMChPs "Sirka" on the other organization
of calcium nitrate manufacture seems reasonable and rather possible. Calcium sulphate
, as it is known, is more preferable when compared with ammonium nitrate as far
as production and application safety and agricultural efficiency is concerned.
It can be applied to any soils irrespective of their acidity and never acidifies
the soil even in case of heavy and annual application. It promotes harmonious
plant development and not of its surface part only.
Preparative form (50%
solution) being offered is handy and efficient for prompt fertilization of plants
, provides for high assimilation of nutrients at minimal outflow into environment.
This fertilizer contains calcium in a completely dissolved state and the granulated
one a number of microelements ( magnesium, boron, sulphur, humates and others
depending on peat deposit) in addition.
Calcium nitrate production process
is environmentally safe and efficient. It is based on utilization of limestone
wastes and raw-ground limestone , sulphur ore floatation tails in particular.
Gas emission in the process of interaction between acid and limestone is neutralized
by lime milk which is used for preparing working acid solution.
